Our Mission.
The mission of the Coshocton Metropolitan Housing Authority is to assist low income families and other individuals by providing them with decent, safe, affordable housing and economic opportunity, free from discrimination. The Coshocton Metropolitan Housing Authority (CMHA) is committed to high standards of public accountability and continuous improvement through management excellence, professional development and customer satisfaction.
Our organization fully supports the principles of the Fair Housing Act (Title VIII of the Civil Rights Act for 1968), which prohibits discrimination in the sale, rental and financing of dwellings, and in other housing-related transactions based on race, color, national origin, religion, gender, familial status, military status or disability.
Our Programs.
The Coshocton Metropolitan Housing Authority has three main programs that we administer.
131 Units of Public Housing
The Meadows or North Meadows located on Magnolia Street in Coshocton Ohio has 106 units, and we have 25 other additional units that are on North Second Street, Sycamore Street and Main Street in Coshocton. Our housing consists of 1,2,3 and 4 bedroom units. Rent is based primarily on income.
253 Housing Choice Vouchers
These vouchers allow program participants to rent from private landlords in Coshocton County and to receive rent assistance based on their income.
