City of florissant parks and recreation summer playground application

The Sterling Heights Parks and Recreation Department in cooperation with Utica Community Schools and Warren Consolidated Schools is offering a playground program at select schools located in Sterling Heights.

Each of these sites provides daily supervised, scheduled activities. Activities include arts and crafts, sports and games, field trips, special event days and much more.

Your playground site is staffed by a minimum of three qualified staff members chosen specifically to provide your child with a summer of fun! All staff members have passed a criminal background check and are certified in CPR, first aid and concussion training.

Program Details:

Ages: 6 - 13 Years Old (Child MUST be 6 years old by 06/26/2024)

Times: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday - Thursday

Starts/Ends:

• Monday, June 24 - Thursday, Aug. 1
• Camp closed on July 4 and 25
• All sites are closed on field trip days to campers not registered for the trip.

Note: Refunds will not be given after July 3, 2024 regardless of when you registered. Fees are not prorated if joining after the program begins.

Field Trips

All Summer Playground field trip registrations will be completed online or in-person at the Community Center during regular business hours, Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. excluding holidays. For online registration, click here.
